Airport Brussels

Brussels Airport Zaventem is in the town of Zaventem and is located north-east of the Belgian capital, Brussels. Since 2006, the airport has been known by the official name “Brussels Airport”, a name that clearly differentiates it from Brussels-Charleroi airport, which is located south of Brussels. By car, Brussels Airport is accessible on the Brussels ring road. Parking is available at the airport in one of the nearby car parks. The express car parks can only be used for up to three hours. In the Holiday, Lock and Premium parking spaces, vehicles must be parked for at least one day. Parking in the Economy car park is unlimited. Queries about hiring a car will be answered in the time between 6.30 am and 11.30 pm at one of the car rental offices operated by Sixt, Hertz, Europcar and AVIS in the arrivals hall. Passengers can, of course, also use public transport to get to Brussels airport. From Brussels city centre, trains leave every 15 minutes and stop underground (level -1) at the airport. Directly above the train station (level 0) is the bus stop which is served by the bus numbers 272, 471, 659 and 820. These leave from platform A and go to Brussels city. Bus number 471 (to Brussels North railway station) and 659 (to Brussels metro station Roodebeek) are both express buses. It may be more convenient to stay at Brussels airport in the Sheraton Brussels Airport hotel, for example. Other hotels near the airport include the Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport Hotel and the NH Brussels Airport Hotel. Both of these hotels offer a free shuttle service to and from Brussels Airport.
