Airport Budapest
Budapest Ferenc Liszt is the most important airport in the capital city and in Hungary as a whole; it is also the base of the airline Malev. On the occasion of the 200th Anniversary of the Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Liszt (Ferenc Liszt) on 22 October 2011, the airport was renamed in March 2011from Feryhegy airport to "Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport". This name change was accompanied by rebuilding works. In the spring of 2011, the terminals were extended to include a new hall, the SkyCourt. The hall takes the shape of a massive shell which connects the terminals 2A and 2B. Besides the new check-in areas, the SkyCourt also houses shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. With an average journey time of 25 minutes, the number 200E public bus connects the airport to the Metro station, Köbánya-Kispest. There is also a mini-bus shuttle that runs 24 hours per day between the airport and almost any part of Budapest. The minibus operates from any of the terminals. A train also stops at Terminal 1 and the station Budapest Nyugati, with an average journey time of 30 minutes. By car, the centre of the city is easy to reach on the highway in 20 minutes. Both short-and long-term parking spaces are available at Budapest in two multi-story car parks located at terminals 1, 2A and 2B.
