Airport Dusseldorf
Düsseldorf Airport (official name: Düsseldorf International Airport) is north of Düsseldorf, which is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany's third largest airport. The airport handles about 300 flights daily of which the flight Munich – Dusseldorf is particularly popular. Flights from Düsseldorf to Munich are operated about 20 times per day by Air Berlin and Lufthansa. Air Berlin also operate flights from Dusseldorf to Hamburg and Dresden several times a day and also serve London. British airways fly from Düsseldorf to London, while Flybe serve other UK cities and operate flights from Düsseldorf to Birmingham and Düsseldorf-Manchester.

Passengers are advised to book the long stay parking well in advance. Fees vary according to the parking zone and duration. There is no free parking at the airport.
Getting to and from the airport by public transport is using the train service to the airport train station which is served by both Intercity trains and regional as well as commuter trains. From here passengers can take the SkyTrain which takes about seven minutes to reach the terminal building. The S-Bahn S11 stops at the "Airport Terminal" station, which is under the terminal. Buses serving Dusseldorf airport are the 721, 760 and SB51 which all stop directly in front of the arrivals area, and the bus numbers 729, 759 and 776 stopping at the airport station.
