Airport Hannover

Hanover Airport (also Hannover airport) is officially called Hannover-Langenhagen Airport and is the largest airport in the city of Hanover in the German Federal State of Lower Saxony. In 2011, the airport was the ninth largest in Germany by annual passenger numbers and is used by a total of over 5 million passengers a year.

There are several services which can be used by passengers upon arrival at Hanover Airport. For transfer to and from the airport please use public transport or rent a car at the Hanover airport car rental offices. Major car rental companies have offices in the arrivals hall between Terminal A and Terminal B. Europcar car rental is open from Monday to Sunday, 24-hours a day. Passengers with late flight arrivals or transfer flights can stay in a hotel at Hannover airport: both the Maritim Airport Hotel Hannover and Hotel Holiday Inn Hanover Airport have a choice of modern rooms as well as a large spa with swimming pool, sauna and various fitness facilities.

Passengers with a flight from Hanover airport can access the airport using the S-Bahn S5 from the central station to terminal C of Hanover Airport. The journey takes about 15 minutes. The bus number 470 goes from the downtown Langenhagen to the airport and stops near terminal C. If arriving by car, please use one of the car parks at Hanover Airport. Passenger pick up and drop off is free for the first 30 minutes. A total of 14,000 parking spaces are available at Hanover airport and parking fees range from € 3 per hour to 8 € per hour (as of April 2012), depending on the car park used.
