Airport Los Angeles

Los Angeles International Airport (IATA code: LAX) is the largest airport in California and the third largest in the United States. Used by nearly 60 million passengers per year, it also ranks among the top ten largest airports in the world. Los Angeles airport is the hub of Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines. Flights from London to Los Angeles, which is one of the busiest routes to and from the airport, are operated by British Airways, American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and United Airlines. Passengers wishing to hire a car on arrival at Los Angeles airport can use the "courtesy shuttle" which will take them to the car rental company of their choice. The shuttle service is operated by Advantage, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Payless and Thrifty for example. In total, there are almost 40 different car rental companies at LAX Airport, catering to every need. There is also a cheap bus transfer to downtown Los Angeles. LAX FlyAway buses for example serve Union Station, and there is also a free airport shuttle service that takes passengers to the nearby airport metro station on the Green Line (the so-called "G-Shuttle") and the nearby bus station ("C-Shuttle"). Alternatively, passengers can also stay in a hotel or motel directly at Los Angeles Airport. Integrated into the airport are the Radisson Hotel at Los Angeles International Airport, the Courtyard by Marriott LAX hotel, the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Los Angeles, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Los Angeles and the Embassy Suites hotels to the north and south of the airport. Many other hotels offer free transfer to and from the airport on request, for example, the nearby Hacienda Hotel Los Angeles Airport, or the Banana Bungalow Hostel located in Hollywood. The latter is on Hollywood Boulevard, near the Walk of Fame and the famous Chinese Theater and is also conveniently located for Universal Studios, to name just a few of the most popular attractions in Los Angeles.
