Airport Mexico City
Mexico City Airport, also known by the name of Benito Juarez, is located about 13 km or 8 miles east of downtown. By annual passenger volume, Mexico Airport is one of the largest airports in Latin America. The airport has two terminals. Both terminals are used for national and international flights. Airport facilities include a variety of dining facilities comprising snack bars as well as more upmarket restaurants. Shops, banks, exchange bureaus and various airline lounges are also located in the terminal building. The airport operates its own chain of airport hotels and hotel rooms may be reserved at the desks in the terminal building. Besides this, the hotels Hilton Mexico City Airport and Ramada Aeroporto are in the vicinity of the airport. Many of the larger hotels in Mexico City offer their guests private transfer to and from the airport. Alternatively, public buses run regularly into the city centre. Bus stops are located outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Gate D. Even more distant cities such as Cuernavaca, Puebla, Cordoba or Pachuca are served by buses. A taxi ride to the city centre takes about 45 minutes. Tickets for taxis can be purchased in the arrivals hall.
