Paris-Orly Airport

The airport Paris-Orly is one of three international Parisian airports and until 1974 was called the Aéroport de Paris. In the 1950s it took over from Le Bourget as the most important airport in Paris. The airport was opened in 1932 and is located 9 km south of Paris. With an area measuring 1550 ha, the airport takes up an area that belongs to the communities of Orly, Villeneuve-le-Roi, Athis-Mons, Paray-Vielle-Poste, Chilly-Mazzarin and Wissous.
